Maroilles cheese

Try this famous cheese from northern France which is only produced in the Appellation Contrôlée area of Avesnois-Thiérache. Maroilles is a soft cheese with a washed, orangey-red rind. It also features in a number of local recipes.

Cheese Fair at La Capelle - September
The ‘Foire aux Fromages de La Capelle’ is a four day event aimed at the general public, including a flea market, cheese show, prizegiving and other organised activities.
